How to troubleshoot permissions with your iOS device, Android device, and browser when using 11Sight

Part 1 iOS Device

Step 1:

When you first download and open 11Sight on your iOS device make sure to allow the app to display notifications, access your photos, microphone, and camera. If you don’t give 11Sight these permissions you will see an alert the next time you login.

Step 2:

To manage your permissions simply go into your iOS device settings and then select 11Sight.

Step 3:

Here you can make sure 11Sight has access to your photos, microphone, camera, and also notifications are allowed.

Part 2 Android Device

Step 1:

When you first download and open 11Sight on your Android device you will see alerts requesting access to your camera, microphone and photos.
If you click deny you will see photos access alert the next time you login. When you start a new call, you will see alerts asking for access to your camera and microphone. You can click allow or manage these permissions at any time in your Android settings.

Step 2:

To access settings simply go to Apps, Application Manager and then select 11Sight.

Part 3 Chrome Browser on a Computer

Step 1:

When making or answering an 11 call in your Chrome browser on your computer make sure to click allow to let 11Sight access your camera and microphone.

Step 2:

You can also manage your Chrome permissions by selecting Settings in the upper righthand corner.
Then scroll down and Show Advanced Settings

Step 3:

Under Privacy click the Content settings button. Here you can manage your 11Sight Notifications, Microphone, and Camera exceptions. We recommend you to use the latest version of Chrome to get the most of 11Sight’s features.

Part 4 Safari Browser on a Computer

Step 1:

When making or answering an 11 call in your Safari browser on your computer make sure to click allow to let 11Sight access your camera and microphone.

Step 2:

You can also manage your Safari permissions by going to Safari Preferences.

Step 3:

You can manage Camera and Microphone settings for 11Sight under Websites tab.

Part 5 Chrome Browser on an Android Device

Step 1:

When making a call in your Chrome browser on your Android device make sure to allow 11Sight to access the camera and the microphone.

Step 2:

To manage your 11Sight permissions simply go to Chrome’s Settings menu, Site Settings and then select app.11sight.com.

Step 3:

To make sure Chrome has the necessary permissions, simply go to Settings on your device and then go to Apps – Application Manager. Select Chrome and make sure it has permission to access camera, microphone and storage as well as the notifications.

Part 6 Safari Browser on an iOS Device

Step 1:

When making a call in your Safari browser on your iOS device make sure to allow 11Sight to access the camera and the microphone. Every time you make a new call, Safari will ask for your permission.

Step 1:

Go to 11sight.com and log in to your account.

Step 2:

Click the “Settings” icon on the upper right corner of the screen and go to “Button” tab.

Step 3:

You will find 2 different buttons already created for you. You can click “Test” on each button to see how they work. After you select a button, simply click “Get Embed Code” link to see the code.

If you have a web developer, copy the two pieces of the code and send it to them asking them to add the code to your website.

If you manage your website yourself, first copy the script on the top and add it to the end of your page’s html source, just before the < / body > tag.

Then, copy the html element and insert it into your page where you want your button to appear.

Step 4:

Publish your changes

Now, visitors to your website will be able to start an 11-call with you in just one click.

Step 1:

Make or answer a call from your 11Sight app or browser.

Step 2:

If you are using a phone, it will initially show the rear-facing camera of both phones in the video feed.
If you want to switch the video, so that it shows your face to the other party, click or touch the swap icon on the lower left area of your screen. If you are on a computer, you can do this by clicking your mouse. If you have a touch screen tablet or phone, you can do this by tapping the icon with your finger. Note: If both parties have enabled video for the call, you will see the video feed from both devices. There’s always a main screen and a small screen. If you want to change the small screen to the main screen, touch or click on it and the screens will trade places. If you are showing something specific to the other person, you’ll want the camera that is showing the focus of the call to be the main screen.

Step 3:

Both people have the ability to take pictures of their main screen at any time during an 11 call. If you have a phone or a touch screen tablet, simply position the camera on the image you want to capture. Then tap the camera icon at the bottom center of the screen. If you are on a computer, you do this by clicking your mouse. The picture will be saved in your image gallery where both parties can access it at any point during or after the call. These pictures are also saved in your phone’s photos folder.

Step 1:

Open the app and go to My Profile screen. In the iOS app, it is the third tab on the tab bar. In the Android app, it is in the left menu.

Step 2:

Tap “Share Profile” button on the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: (if needed)

Select the Message icon. (You can also choose to share your profile in other platforms.)

Step 4:

Add the contact you want to send your link to and press send. Once the recipient clicks your link in their text message, they’ll start an 11Sight call with you.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 4:

To point out specific areas to the other party, simply touch the screen in the location where you want to create a dot if you are using a touch screen device. Or, if you are using a computer, click the spot you want to point out with your curser. Both people have the ability to point out specific locations to each other, creating dots on the screens. The dots will fade away after a few seconds.

Step 5:

The person pointing something out will see their dots in red, and they’ll see dots from the other person as green.

Step 1:
